The Institute for the Study of Culture, Ethics and Development (CED) proposes a renewed society where the human person is the subject and the end of all social institutions. The person can only fulfill his vocation, living in society in accordance to his own human condition.

We believe that such a human condition is formed by a harmonious relationship among reason, faith and the heart. They are not separated dimensions. Quite the contrary, they are interwoven, each one giving meaning and life to the other.

We believe, along with the philosopher Jacques Maritain and the theologian Luigi Giussani, that faith, reason and the heart are strongly influenced by our sense of wonder at the miracle of the human person –at man’s likeness to God.

The Institute for the Study of Culture, Ethics and Development, believes that society can only rebuilds itself through an education that is critical, capable of improving, enlightening, and enhancing authentic human happiness.

El Centro para el estudio de la Cultura, Ética y Desarrollo (CED) prevé una nueva sociedad donde la persona humana sea el centro y la meta de todas las instituciones sociales. La persona sólo puede cumplir su vocación en una sociedad construida conforme a su condición humana.

Creemos que esa condición está formada por una relación armoniosa entre la razón, la fe y el corazón. Ellos no son dimensines separadas. Por el contrario, están entrelazadas, cada una da sentido y vida a las demás.

Creemos, con el filosofo Jacques Maritain y el teólogo Luigi Giussani, que la fe, la razón y el corazón se ven influidas fuertemente por nuestro sentido de asombro ante el milagro de la persona human, creada a imagen y semejanza de Dios.

El Centro para el estudio de la Cultura, Ética y Desarrollo, por último, considera que la sociedad sólo puede reconstruye a través de una educación que vaya a los fundamentosl, capaz de mejorar, esclarecer y lograr la felicidad humana auténtica.
